This past weekend, Clint and I headed out for a photo shoot with the awesome Michelle Huesgen at Elephant Rocks State park. I love working with her; she’s incredibly talented, has an amazing eye, and she even brought a teepee and headdress. During the photo shoot, we got to explore Elephant Rocks – all while I was in a dress I might add! We had a wonderful time working with her, and I cannot wait to see the photos.
Once we finished the photo shoot, we changed into our hiking clothes and headed over to Johnson’s Shut-ins to take some photos and explore. I still had to hike (and sweat) in full make-up. Gross.
Clint is obsessed with his GoPro… and reasonably so. We’ve taken this little dude EVERYWHERE this summer to get footage of our adventures. We hiked past all the swimmers at the beginning of the trail to get to a more secluded area. It was totally worth the extra time to get this view.
I don’t know how his footage turned out yet (of course a family decided to walk by when time was almost up), but I was pretty happy because I got to take a nap on a giant, warm rock while he set up his river time lapse with the teeny-tiny tripod!
If you ever head to Johnson’s Shut-Ins, be sure to take a little time to explore past the wooden sidewalk.
